Philly Boy Making Some Noise

Marcus Morris Sr. was just incredible from the beyond the arch. He went 5-5 from three-point land. When Joel Embiid or a 76er teammate found Marcus Morris wide open in spacing, he made the best of his opportunity—feeding off his hometown crowd’s energy. Marcus Morris is a Philly boy making some noise.

Marcus Morris was just absolutely lights out tonight. The Detroit Pistons played zero perimeter defense throughout this game, and the Philadelphia 76ers took full advantage of it. Right before Thanksgiving, Marcus Morris has put 18 three-pointers. With Marcus Morris playing the way he has now, he’s getting comfortable playing for his hometown team with some good momentum. I want to see his game go against the upper Elchon teams of the NBA.

There Only Hope

The Detroit Pistons came into Philadelphia looking to wipe away their long overdue losing streak. However, they didn’t win the game. They had some bright spots in this game. Like Bojan Bogdanovic at 17 points, he was a workhorse. Bojan Bogdanovic would get the first bucket of Wednesday night’s game with a nice floater, getting things going for the Pistons. He sets the tone for this Pistons team tonight by going right after Joel Embiid for a push-back jumper. James Wiseman made an impact coming off the Pistons’ bench; he had a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds. He also had some nice dunks on offense and some big blocks on defense.

Keep On Coasting

This game looked competitive in the first half. Nick Nurse and the 76ers team made all the proper adjustments. Joel Embiid crashed boards, kicking the ball out to one of his teammates, who he found open. The Pistons struggled trying to keep the raining MVP contained. Joel Embiid with 36pts and 13 boards. Nic Batum, Tobias Harris, and Paul Reed were also getting rebounds. I know I mention this a lot, but this, to me, is the best rebounding 76ers team I saw Joel Embiid on. The 76ers team is coasting through the NBA right now.
