Pick Ems

The Soothsayers Return after an improved week..

Shawn and Gary nearly had a perfect week with a 6-1 mark.

Ross and Kevin went 5-2 with Muffler Mike going 3-4.

Things are getting tight with Ross still holding a lead at 71-44.

Movement with the predictions have brought us to a three way tie between Gary, Shawn and Kevin with their 69-46 marks.

Muffler Mike a bit off the pace with his, 55-60 record

A four game slate kicking off Friday.

Out West..

Ross McLoughlin leads us off..Ross is fresh off a Conference call with Patrick Merrill..We can only guess what it was about.

Calgary vs. Rochester

Winner Calgary

Calgary is not going to let the foot off the gas at this point, full steamrolling ahead over the Knighthawks.

Halifax vs NewYork

Winner Thunderbirds

Halifax has had a tough go of it lately, the Riptide are not the same team they were a few weeks back.

Georgia vs. Panther City

Winner Georgia

The Thompson Bowl is about to get it on… don’t expect the 3 brothers to just give up. Georgia Needs a win to stay in it, Panther City needs a win to stay in it also. I dont think PC has enough Juice to pull this out.

Shawn Slaght

We stay in the West and Shawn Slaght who has been enjoying the good vibes from the re-emergence of Derek Keenan.

Calgary vs Rochester
Pick – Calgary
Two teams going in opposite directions. Calgary is looking unstoppable at the moment, while Rochester is looking towards next season.

Halifax vs New York
Pick – Halifax

This is a tough one. Halifax has been struggling to right the ship lately, while New York is showing that they can be competitive. I still think Halifax is slightly better at this point.

Georgia vs Panther City
Pick – Panther City

It’s hard not to bet against PCLC heading into these last few games. They are finally coming together and making a push for a playoff spot. This one is a toss up, but I think Panther City will win a close one.

Gary Groob..

We come East and, fresh off a 27 hour shift… Gary Groob.

Calgary vs. Rochester
Calgary wins

This team is primed and ready for the playoffs, while Rochester is waiting to retool for next season.

The interesting thing in this game is the battle of rhe goalies….Del Bianco vs. Hartley.

Halifax vs. New York

Halifax wins

This is too talented a team to continue on the spin they have been on. Look for the entire team to pull together to get this win, and get in the right direction for the playoffs.

Georgia vs. PCLC
PCLC wins.

Georgia has had moments of brilliance this year, but also have been out of sorts at times. Lyle Thompson hasn’t been himself since the game he sat out against Toronto. Is he more injured than we know?

Saskatchewan vs. San Diego

Saskatchewan wins

San Diego has been battling injury issues. Jimmy Quinlan has been a shot in the arm for this team…they pull off the upset.

Muffler.

Back East and Muffler Mike took a break from playing Guitar Hero to make his picks.

CGY @ ROC
Calgary. Remember when the Roughnecks were 3-6 and headed toward a roster fire sale? Pepperidge Farm remembers, but they’re not the ones making picks here.

HFX @ NY
New York. Did Halifax somehow become the Vancouver of the East following the trade deadline? Teat cements ROTY by setting new rookie records for points and assists.

GA @ PCLC
Panther City. Aside from the teams jockeying in the East, is there anyone who doesn’t want to see this expansion team in the playoffs, even if for one game?

SD @ SASK
San Diego. Can’t say I’m firm on this one. With so much talent, the Seals have to figure out whatever is causing their second half woes and stay in the hunt for the West Division title that seemed locked up a month ago, right?

Staying East.

The moment you have all been waiting for…

well, my wife at least..

The Mystic of Philadelphia, Kevin Neibauer.

Calgary-Rochester..

Calgary

The Roughnecks could have walked across the map and still win this one.

Halifax-New York.

New York.

Jeff Teat makes a statement with another ten point game.

Georgia-PCLC.

PCLC.

The battle of the Brothers will be anticlimatic with a big PCLC win.

San Diego- Saskatwchewan.

The Rush..

San Diego has holes that are glaringly obvious…Jimmy Quinlan and crew take advantage for a late win.
