Coming off a week when Gary Groob was ice skating and paying attention, led the know it all’s by going 6-1.The rest of us were eating crumbs and ice chips from Gary’s skates with even, the mystic, Ross going 4-3.
So, the only change in our leader board was Gary Groob getting on the positive side..
The San Diego Magic 8 Ball sponsor, Ross still holds⁴ the top spot with his 35-19.
The Saskatchewan Karnac, Shawn Slaght follows with his 32-16.
The Alleged Pride of Philadelphia, the lovely and talented, Kevin Neibauer stayed even
Have you been to Philly?
Kevin Neibauer goes at 27-19 mark with the Toronto tornado, Gary Groob, catching up with his 25-21 mark.
The New England Neer de We”ll, Muffler Mike is giving us all a head start with his 22-24 score.
So, off we go to another spine chilling week of picks.
Ross The Boss
Who has, if nothing else shown, if you aren’t the lead dog, the view never never changes..We are tiring of seeing of seeing his hairy butt in a thong that is two sizes too small.
We lead off with our leader, Ross “The Boss” McLoughlin
Have at it Ross.
Colorado vs Calgary
Winner – Colorado
Normally the Roughnecks are a mystery. Then finish third in the division then win a championship…. This year not so much, Colorado wins big.
Vancouver vs Saskatchewan
Winner – Saskatchewan
Rush are not the team they were 2 year+ ago, but the Warriors are only a little better now. Magic 8 ball says the Rush.
Buffalo vs Toronto
Winner – Buffalo
Toronto is not the team to knock Buffalo off its winning ways.
New York vs Georgia
Winner – Georgia
At 1 and 6, the Riptide need to win out if they want to salvage this dumpsterfire of a season. But facing Georgia It’s not going to happen this week.
Albany vs Rochester
Winner – Albany
Albany is a team that is starting to play well together. Rochester is inconsistent and would rather fight than play, till that changes look for the same old same old out of them.
San Diego vs Panther City
Winner – San Diego
Even missing a few pieces San Diego is going to pick apart Panther City. Look for a big week out of Tre Leclaire and Mac O’Keefe.
This should be a rest day for some of the heavy hitters on the Seals, Look for reduced minutes from Staats and Dobbie. Even with all that Seals win big.
Philadelphia vs Halifax
Winner – Halifax
I really like Halifax, they have 5 games in and won 4 of them. Philly on the other hand has reached their 10 game this week. They are not in the spot they thought they would be and it looks like their fate might be decided by other teams.
Moving to Philly
Why would anyone?
Mr. Been There Didn’t Do It but, lied about it…the one and only, and people are happy about it.
Kevin.Neibauer.
Pick Ems-
Colorado- Calgary
Colorado
It seems like these two play each twice a month.
Colorado wins to keep pressure on San Diego and what can one say about Calgary?
They have not adjusted to loss of Dobbie and simply do match up with the Mammoth.
Saskatchewan- Vancouver
Vancouver
The Rush struggled and Vancouver put up 17 in their last game..
Mitch Jones will not play but, the Warriors played with urgency and recognize everyone needs to step up.
Look for a three point night from Reid Bowering as he continues to realize his potential and his role.
Buffalo- Toronto
Buffalo
This could be the best game of the weekend.
Buffalo snuck one out last week and Toronto put the league on notice with a second half shut out on the road, in Philadelphia.
Unlikely Toronto can repeat that. This will be a one goal game.
New York- Georgia
New York
The Riptide are knocking on the door of greatness.
The Swarm seem lost..Georgia just can’t put together a full sixty minutes.
Jeff Teat is playing like, well, Jeff Teat…
Albany-Rochester
Albany
The 1-3-1 defense Albany defense throws at you is hard to play against.
Rochester is simply taking too many penalties…Shawn Evans can’t do it all and I look for frustration to get the better of him.
San Diego- PCLC
Two words, San Diego
PCLC, while being competitive, are not in the class of the Seals.
San Diego will have a below average contest but, even at that, this will be a Seals win.
Philadelphia- Halifax
Halifax..
It appears that Philadelphia has either been figured out or not as good as they appeared..
Halifax will know the Buffalo result. That doesn’t bode well for the Wings..
This will be close but, Halifax takes from whistle to whistle.
To The Great White North
The schorly Gary Groob
I am.ashamed about taking these pay-offs.from you but
, Twenty buck is twenty bucks
Colorado vs Calgary
Calgary wins
Christian Del Bianco says he is gonna win and I believe him! Curtis Dickson will be back as well. Look for the Roughnecks to get under Dillon Ward’s skin early.
Saskatchewan vs. Vancouver
Vancouver
The Warriors are the highest scoring home team to date in the NLL. They need to win this home to keep their lead (and playoff spot) over the Rush.
Buffalo vs. Toronto
Toronto wins.
Buffalo isn’t going 18-0 this season! The Bandits should have lost to the Riptide last week but for some un-timely New York penalties at the end of the game.
Toronto’s offense is firing on all cylinders, and the defense has been stiffling all year. Throw in a Nick Rose that has re-found his mojo in net, and the Rock come away victorious in this one.
New York vs. Georgia
New York wins.
The Riptide have come so close, and I feel this is the one. New York can out score almost anyone, and will be scoring a plenty in this one…Callum Crawford and Jeff Teat feast in this game!
Albany vs. Rochester
Albany wins.
These teams are heading in different directions. Rochester has been decimated by Covid-19 protocols, while the FireWolves have found their winning ways. Doug Jamieson will frustrate the Knighthawks all night.
San Diego vs. PCLC
San Diego wins.
While I feel that Panther City is due for a win, this isn’t the game. San Diego is the most consistent team in the league, and they win by at least 4 goals.
Philadelphia vs. Halifax
Halifax wins
Philadelphia hasn’t beat a team over .500 yet this year. The Thunderbirds defense is as stingy as the Rock defense, and their offense is as potent. The Wings will be tasting deja-vu from last week.
Coming Back to the States and Flat Tire,,,err Muffler Mike
,
COL @ CGY
Colorado. The Mammoth offense is clicking, with several players (led by Ryan Lee) having statistical breakouts. The West Division is quickly becoming a two-horse race.
SASK @ VAN
Vancouver. Once again, I have to say it: a chance to put the West on notice that this Warriors squad is not to be taken lightly. The Rush are just not the same team from the dynasty we saw a few years ago, with no simple explanation as to why.
BUF @ TOR
Buffalo. I’d really like to bet against the Bandits in a key matchup, but I just can’t at this point.
NY @ GA
Georgia. The Swarm know they’re better than their record shows. The midseason home stand will back up that belief.
ALB @ ROC
Albany. Revenge game for the home opener debacle. The only positive for the Knighthawks will be the sharp-looking military-themed jerseys being worn.
SD @ PCLC
San Diego. Panther City is slowly improving, but expect the usual one bad quarter to be their downfall.
PHI @ HFX
Halifax. The Wings played most of their home games during the first half of the season. They will find the second half starts out rough for them as they hit the road, even if it’s “Nest West” (Hamilton).
Back West and Crossing the Border for “The Professor” ching ching, another $20, but, he pays me in pennies..
Shawn “Leave Me Alome,” Slaght.
Colorado vs Calgary
Pick – Colorado
If this game was earlier in the season, I may have gone with the Roughnecks. However, the Mammoth have found themselves on a roll, while Calgary is still trying to find some consistency.
Vancouver vs Saskatchewan
Pick – Saskatchewan
I’m going to go against the grain here and put on my green shaded glasses. These are both teams coming off of huge wins against Panther City. I think the veterans on the Rush aren’t happy with the way they’ve played as of late and they seemed to have found some offensive chemistry with Austin Murphy, if he is in the line up.
Buffalo vs Toronto
Pick – Buffalo
Game of the week without a doubt. Nothing against Toronto, but at this point I have no reason to bet against Buffalo considering how well they are playing.
New York vs Georgia
Pick – Georgia
I’ll admit that I’ve been hard on the Riptide, but I think this is going to be a close game. New York as shown flashes for brilliance, I’m just not sure it will be quite enough to get by the he Swarm this time around.
Albany vs Rochester
Pick – Albany
The Firewolves may not have the best record in the league right now, they are definitely have the hot hand. It’ll give them the edge by three or four goals for this match.
San Diego vs Panther City
Pick – San Diego
Please, is this even the game? Not even close. Two teams on completely different levels.
Philadelphia vs Halifax
Pick – Halifax
I’m still sticking to my guns with the fact I like what Halifax has got going for them this year. I’m expecting another big game with Warren Hill in goal, frustrating a potent Philly offence.
