Road Worries Continue for the Union

LA Galaxy was ready to go after coming off that huge upset over LAFC, winning 2-1. This gave the LA Galaxy conference momentum. You would think after being slapped in the mouth by Atlanta United FC, losing 2-0, that the Philadelphia Union would come out with some aggressiveness. The road worries continue for the Union.

LA Galaxy played with the same style of play from their win over LAFC. Tyler Boyd would set the tone of the game. The only difference is that in Tuesday night’s game against LAFC. Tyler Boyd would make an outside-of-the-box goal, where here he was found in front of the net running with momentum and getting the ball rolling past Union goalkeeper Joe Bednik.

The LA Galaxy played extremely well on both sides of the ball. Where the Union wanted to go with the ball. The LA Galaxy knew where they wanted to go with the ball. LA Galaxy, late in the second half, would have good ball movement. It would be Riqui Puge with a distant goal beating Jakob Glesnes. to go top right corner goal. Joe Bednik tried to make the save but was no good.

UNION TRIP NEW ENGLAND 2023

This was a huge week for the LA Galaxy. Beating LAFC, the MLS soccer champions, and beating the Eastern Conference champions, Philadelphia Union, in the same week.

Plus For the Union

Alejandro Bedoya is the veteran and leader of this team. Played a good game on both sides of the ball. Great job defending and coming up with some huge interceptions throughout the game. Offensively he was in the LA Galaxy scoring zone. And Mikael Uhre gets back on the scoring column. It was a much-needed goal for him. He hasn’t scored a goal since June 3rd.

Minus For the Union

The lack of hustle on offense caused the Union’s defense to get worse. Daniel Gazdag hasn’t recorded a goal or an assist in 5 games. You can definitely see where the Union needs Andre Blake. There are questionable goals that can be stopped when Andre Blake makes those saves. Now the Philadelphia Union has now dropped 3 out of 4 on the road. The road worries continue for the Union.

Heading into Nashville. Nashville is 8-1-2 at home. Hany Mukhtar leads the league in goals. With no Andre Blake, the Union can have a long day at the office trying to stop this Nasty Nashville team.
