Roughnecks Gave Philly Some Broken Wings

Calgary Roughnecks have been on a roll as of late now winning their third straight game, beating some of the top-tier teams in the NLL has been impressive like the Toronto Rock, Halifax Thunderbirds, and the Philadelphia Wings.

Calgary just kept on coming at Philly in this game, beating the one-on-one coverages and finding the mismatches. The Roughnecks just were able to locate the ball to get past Philly’s goalie Zach Higgins. Give credit where credit is due as Josh Sanderson (Calgary Roughnecks head coach) has this Calgary team clicking on all cylinders right now on offense.

Let’s see if they can roll into Philly with the same energy and get their 4th straight win in this game home and home series.

The Dan Taylor Show

Calgary Roughnecks forward Dan Taylor did a great job tonight of leading his team in offensive production. He recorded 4 goals on the night, and he was an absolute playmaker.

He made a couple of nice goals around the crest of Philly’s net making a couple of leaping goals and when found wide open that’s where he was making the best of his goal-scoring opportunities, especially in the 4th quarter. Where he put on a show for Calgary with 3 straight goals.

Dan Taylor had 4 assists last week against the Thunderbirds he’s starting to cook which smells trouble for a lot of opposing defenses with him and Jesse King being double trouble.

Philly’s Offense is A Plus Material

The Philadelphia Wings offense has been really good for this year. Mitch Jones playing quarterback, facilitating the ball. Mitch Jones only had 2 goals in this game but he had 5 assists. He’s in the top three assist leaders in the league.

He makes a behind-the-back pass to Holden Cattoni for a goal. Ben Mclntosh had a couple of nice goals. Philly’s offense does a great job with ball movement, finding open teammates and picking their shots.
