Realmuto Says “Sign Me” Against the Yankees

Phillies are 2-4 entering the fourth game in the series against the New York Yankees. Tonight, Realmuto Says “Sign Me” Against the Yankees. He uses his entire arsenal to make a statement.

The story has been the bullpen for the Phillies this series. This night they held on (Barely). I have to give my partners Joey Sheeran and Freddy Burns credit because they had a lot more confidence in Eflin than I did. He pitched a heck of a game.

First 3 Innings

Zach Eflin takes the mound for the first time in 2020. He throws a good first inning. The team takes to the plate. Phillies are first to score in the bottom of the first. J.T. Realmuto cracks a three-run bomb scoring Harper and Hoskins. Harper throws a “signature” into the air. (SIGN HIM). Eflin flounders a bit in the top of the second. Mike Tauchman singles a line drive to center field scoring Gardner and Urshela. 3-2 Phillies. The Phillies go quietly in the bottom of the second. Eflin bounces back and has 1-2-3 inning at the top of the third. J.T. continues to shine by beating out the throw to first. (SIGN HIM). Phil Gosselin keeps his offense heat cranked up. He scores Realmuto and Harper on a two-out double. 5-2 Phillies.

Next 3 Innings

The top of the 4th has some defensive fireworks. JT again this time with a Strike ’em out / Throw em out double play. (SIGN HIM) Eflin goes past the 60 pitch count and wracks up 5 strikeouts. Roman Quinn hits a two-out triple in the bottom of the fourth. Deolis Guerra comes in and does his job and keeps the score at 5-2. Phillies leave a runner in scoring position in the bottom of the 5th. The 6th inning was a pair of goose eggs in the offense category for both teams.

The Final 3

The top of the 7th sees Nick Piveta on the mound. He snags 2 Ks in the inning but after letting a 2-run homer to Gary Sanchez. Phillies lead is cut to 1 run, 5-4. The bottom of the 7th McCutchen rips a double. Harper walks. But unfortunately, JT and the Phillies could not capitalize. (STILL, SIGN HIM) Jose Alvarez and Hector Neris combine to shut down the top of the 8th inning and leave Stanton stranded on third. A clutch strikeout from Neris to Aaron Judge was an amazing way to retire the side. The Phillies offense couldn’t add any runs in the 8th. Hector Neris returns for the 9th inning to put end to this game. It was scary but the Phillies are able to pull out the win. Final 5-4 victory for the Phillies. They spit 2 wins with this series.

Realmuto Says “Sign Me” with his Play

Realmuto Says “Sign Me” in this win against the Yankees. He is batting .333 with 6 runs, 8 hits, three home runs, 8 RBIs in just 7 games. That is not including his hustle and defensive play. This front office will have a riot on hand if something doesn’t happen.

The “PhanDemics” with air horns were amazing. Keeping that Philly touch getting under the opposing team’s skin. (Haha Aaron Boone) They also threw in some boo-birds.

EXTRA: The MLB sends out an updated schedule. Phillies will have three more doubleheaders. One with the Blue Jays and two with the Marlins.
