Should the Eagles go all-in on Kyler Murray? Well, let me start by saying. DUH! Of course, they should. It’s a no-brainer. He is Jalen Hurts x5. But let’s back ‘er down a bit.
Reports yesterday came out and we can see with our sense of sight, that Kyler Murray has scrubbed his entire Instagram of all pictures (except two) and all things Arizona Cardinals related. Although, we don’t know the official reason. All things lead to Kyler being unhappy and more than likely wanting a new contract. A BIG one.
Now, I’m sure the last thing Arizona wants to do is trade their quarterback. Not to mention, the Card’s were fighting for the #1 seed in the NFC down the stretch of the 2021-22 season. But where there is smoke, there is usually fire. Could Kyler request a trade if the Cardinals do not give him what he wants? Sure.
Enter Howie Roseman. The Eagles have the most to offer, no doubt. The team needs a definite answer at the most important position on the field. If you can upgrade Jalen Hurts to Kyler Murray, if there is any chance of that, you must go all in. The Eagles need a better passer who can read more than one option and accurately complete the pass. Their Offensive line is ready. They have an emerging stud wide receiver in DeVonta Smith. The running game is solid. They get “their guy” under center. Lookout! The Birds leapfrog most teams to become a real contender in the NFC.
