St. Joe’s Struggles Continue, 91-79

The struggling St. Joseph’s Hawks (4-17) found themselves in Amherst, MA to battle the UMass Minutemen (9-12).

The Hawks were looking to end a two goal losing skid while UMass was hoping to pick up a second consecutive victory.

The Minutemen accomplished both goals and added a season high in points (91) and assists (26).

Balanced UMass scoring was the story in this one with Dibaji Walker pouring in 22, Samba Diablo with 19 followed by Carrl Pierre with 14 and Tre Mitchell with a dozen to lead the Minutemen.

Ryan Daly led the Hawks on a 22 point, 7 rebound, 6 assist contest.

Rahmir Moore added 14 points with Cameron Brown having 12.

The Hawks went 9 for 25 from three point land with Daly posting 1 for 4, Brown 2 of 6 and Moore was a perfect 3 of 3.
