Stars Run Over by Stallions

The Stars were run over by Stallions and suffered the worst loss of the season. The Stars need to beat the best to be the best and so far, this season the Birmingham Stallions are the best in the USFL.  Entering this week’s game against the Stars (2-2) the Stallions (4-0) are the league’s lone unbeaten squad.

After their showdown with the Stars, the Stallions are still the league’s lone unbeaten team.  After defeating the Philadelphia Stars, 30-17 on May 15, 2022. A big first half propelled the Stars to an early 17-7 lead over the Stallions in the 2nd quarter.  The Stallions came back to cut the lead to 17-14 at halftime.

The 2nd half though was all Stallions.  Running back CJ Marable ran for a 29-yard TD which would put the Stallions in the lead for good 21-17. To round out the scoring the Stallions would add an FG to increase their lead to 24-17 heading into the 4th quarter. In the 4th quarter, a 10-minute drive that ended with a two-yard touchdown by J’Mar Smith put the game out of hand at 30-17.

Big games from Smith, Marable, Bo Scarborough, and the Stallion defense which registered 3 Stars QB sacks for the day. The Philadelphia Stars were run over by the Stallions of Birmingham. For the Stars (2-3) it’s back to the drawing board time they will next face the Tampa Bay Bandits on Saturday, May 21st at 1 pm on NBC.
