Temple Outlasts UConn, 93-89

The UConn Huskies (14-12) took on the Temple Owls (14-12) on the campus of Temple University. The game went to a second overtime before The Owls pulled off a 93-88 victory. The hero for Temple was Monty Scott who nailed a long three-pointer with just twenty-one seconds remaining in the first overtime to get it knotted.

Scott finished the evening with 25 points to compliment Nate Pierre-Louis who drained 23 points. The Huskies forced extra time with Isaiah Whaley nailing a clutch shot with just :05 left in regulation. Whaley finished 18 points and 14 boards on 8 for 14 shooting. James Bouknight complimented with 16 points.

Christian Vital was the big story for UConn with 21 points to go along with 8 rebounds. Vital moved into the 18th position in All-Time UConn scoring history.

A published writer in JustHockey Magazine, Kevin covered the American Hockey League as well as a monthly story on a pugilist where Kevin used the pen name, The Rink Rat. Neibauer turned his attentions to lacrosse for a few years and does his part, whether podcasting or writing to grow the game. Kevin branched out to his roots and currently provides insight for all Philadelphia teams for Edge of Philly as well as his full-time duties with LaxPhilly.
