The Drexel Lady Dragons (9-4) Pull off a Weekend Sweep Over Northeastern (3-8). In an absolute thriller, the Drexel Dragons pulled of a 58-56 win when Hannah Nihill drained a jumper with 1.6 on the clock. Nihill was the stand out in this and nailed 19 points which included 3 from downtown and 4 from the line.
She certainly didn’t go it alone and Maura Hendrixson complimented with a dozen. It was truly a game of runs that saw The Dragons fall behind, 13 before a 14-3 run changed the fortunes.
The squads battled to make it 40-40 heading to the final stanza. Drexel found themselves down by 5 with just 6:00 to play. The Dragons hunkered down and waved a furious comeback to snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat.
