The Flyers Come Out Swinging

1st period: The Philadelphia Flyers offense comes out swing, looking to build off their win from Tuesday night’s game against the Florida Panthers. The Winnipeg Jets are looking to bounce back in the win column after losing 4 straight games. The Flyers wasted no time getting on the scoreboard with Ryan Poehling hooking up with Tyson Foerster on an odd-man rush for a goal. Travis Konecny getting his hands dirty drops the gloves with Neal Pionk, and then Travis Konecny gets a deflection goal. Morgan Frost would then get a wide-open look for a goal. The Flyers offense has been really good in this period.

Sam The Man Ersson:

2nd period: This was probably the worst offensive performance from Philly other than Ryan Poehling getting a short-handed goal for the Flyers. This Flyers offense looked stale at times and Winnipeg was bringing a lot of offense to Sam Errson’s doorstep but Sam Errson has been laser-focused through 40 minutes of hockey. Has yet to let a puck get past him. The Jets are forcing a lot of turnovers but the Flyers goaltending has been razor-sharp. Let’s see if Sam Errson can carry this laser-focused zone goaltending in the third.

The Jets Get One By

3rd period: The Winnipeg Jets continued to outplay this Flyers team throughout the remainder of the game. Kyle Connor would get his 18th goal of the season. Sam Errson would come out of his goalie crest just a bit, and Kyle Connor would go around him for the goal. Philadelphia is lucky that Sam Errson brought his A-game because he stopped 28 out of 29 shots on net. The Flyers looked sluggish for 2 periods of hockey. Philly would hold off the Jets to one goal. Now Flyers will gear up to face the Seattle Kraken this Saturday. Let’s see if the Flyers can get their third straight win.
