The Philadelphia Eagles come into Met Life stadium ready to face the New York Jets. Both teams coming to the game with momentum. The Philadelphia Eagles took care of the Los Angeles Rams last week. Jalen Hurts had a huge game, throwing and running the ball. Jalen Hurts had over 300 yards passing and 72 yards running the rock. Unfortunately, it was a meltdown at Met Life Stadium for the Philadelphia Eagles.

On the other hand, the New York Jets felt pretty good about beating the Denver Broncos last week in Empower Field, where Breece Hall had 177 yards rushing yards. The Philadelphia Eagles went into Met Life stadium looking to go 6-0. However, the New York Jets had different plans. This is the first time the New York Jets beat the Eagles since they met in 1973.
Not Having a Plan B Ready
Both defense between the Eagles and Jets brought their A-games. causing the offensive lines and Quarterback’s tons of Havok. The Jets’ defense was something that Brian Johnson’s (Eagles offensive coordinator,) playbook was ready to deal with. Brian Johnson’s playbook was designed to have Jalen Hurts throw the football 80 percent of the game, trying to pick apart a banged-up Jets secondary. but I don’t think the Eagles were thinking guys from the Jets practice squad were going to make a big impact in this game. Keep in mind these guys are trying to make a roster spot, and it paid dividends for the Jets.
I am a little disappointed with the play calling on why there weren’t any adjustments. Then again, things got ugly for the Eagles when the heart and soul of the O-line. Lane Johnson got taken out of the game. This made it hard for Jalen Hurts as he saw tons of pressure from this Jets defense. The Eagles are 13-22 without Lane Johnson in the lineup. Jalen Hurts had 3 picks on the night. Some bad decision-making.

The Flip Side
The Eagles’ defense made some big clutch defensive stops. Forcing The Jets to turn the ball over. For the Bulk of the first half, the Jets would have to settle for a field goal. Hasson Reddick has recorded 5 and a half sacks since being back from injury. He’s been a force to be wrecking with on the field. There were two big sacks he laid on Zack Wilson. The monster sack he hit on Zack Willson was up the middle for a loss of 12 yards.
It was a nice mix of the Eagle’s defense getting their hands dirty, like Josh Sweat, Milton Williams, and Brandon Graham. The Eagle’s defense is what kept the Eagles in this game. If the Eagles just would not have been so careless on the offensive side of the ball, which caused a bunch of turnovers. Which led the Eagles’ defense to play with some fatigue in the second half. AJ Brown was the big bright spot on the Eagles’ offense, with another 120-plus receiving yards in 4 straight games.
