The Philadelphia 76ers go to Toronto to face the Raptors after coming off that tough loss to the Milwaukee Bucks. Just falling short, by losing by a point. Toronto Raptors coming off a tough loss themselves as they lost on the road to the Chicago Bulls 103 to 104. However, they do have a home win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Sixers starting to gel in Toronto. The Nurse’s office is open for business.

The Toronto Raptors, are playing back-to-back games. They knew they had to give the 76ers all they could handle. It was a back-and-forth game up until the 76ers started to crack things up in the second half. Nick Nurse, playing against his old team gets the W!
Team Chemistry
The team Chemistry between Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey in these two games has been really good. In both games, they have a combined 120 points. In this game against the Raptors, they both had 34 points each. Tyreese Maxey went 7-9 from three-point land. Whether they are together or splitting the load with one or the other on the floor. When on the floor together, they did a great job setting up the set screens and finding each other in spacing.
This is a one-two punch. From Tyreese Maxey shooting the lights out from beyond the arch and Joel Embiid playing bully ball. It didn’t matter if there were 2 or 3 defenders. Joel Embiid was turning it up, and the bounce was his elbow jumper. On the defensive end, Joel Embiid and Tyreese Maxey both did a great job playing perimeter and zone defense. The Sixers had a sluggish start, but at the start of the second half, they came out on fire. with good ball movement and making their shots. and the team had 5 players with 5 rebounds. Nick Nurse has the Sixers having the Sixers play good team ball.

The Perfect Fit
Kelly Obure Jr., the 76ers’ newest acquisition, picked up to join the team on Sept. 23rd, has been a lightning rod. In the season opener, he dropped 27 points off the bench, going 5-6 from the perimeter. In this game, he went 0-6 from the perimeter. However, he put 18 points. Driving to the basket or just being found underneath the rim for him to up points. Tearing things up in the paint. In the small, sample size. He is fitting the Nick Nurse system just fine. This has been a great pick-up by the Sixers front office.
