GMU Patriots Best the St. Joseph’s Hawks, 71-62 The St. Joe’s Hawks (1-12) fell to George Mason (8-6) at Hagan Arena on Hawk Hill Saturday afternoon.
The same team squads squared off in a double overtime thrill fest the last time they met. The contest featured 10 lead changes to go along with 10 ties.
Different story on this day. GMU stormed to a 32-24 halftime lead and put the Hawks in their rearview mirror en route to the 71-62 victory. Josh Oduro dropped 12 points in just 19 minutes of action and was complimented with 18 points from Jordan Miller to lead the Patriots.
Jordan Hall and Taylor Funk continue to lead the Hawks to attack with Hall notching 15 points and Funk accounting for a game-high, 21. St.Joe’s look to get back on the winning on Tuesday with a match-up with Richmond.
