The Philadelphia Flyers, Singing The Blues

The Philadelphia Flyers would host the St. Louis Blues, both teams coming off huge wins. St Louis would beat the Minnesota Wild 3-1. and Philly take care of the Senators 4-2. The Blues are fighting for a playoff spot and looking to pull out all the stops. The Flyers are singing the Blues in the end.

1st period: Defensive battle between both teams, goalies Jordan Binnington ( St. Louis Blues goaltender) and Samuel Errson (Philadelphia Flyers goalie) playing great for their franchisees. Ryan Poehling makes a nice pass to Scott Laughton, beating the odd-man rush, and Scott Laughton puts this Flyers team on the scoreboard, and Philly would keep on bringing the offensive pressure

Kevin Hollywood Hayes Stands Out

Second period: the goalie showdown would continue in the second period. Both teams are going back and forth. However, it would be an old familiar face that would answer the bell for St. Louis. Kevin Hollywood Hayes finds himself on a breakaway and makes a falling 5-hole goal on Samuel Errson, and after that, the Blues would start building momentum and get their offense clicking. Lucky for Philadelphia, Samuel Errson is doing a physical job between the pipes. The Blues would like to steal a win in South Philly as they get their five-game east coast road trip on the right foot.

The Showdown Continues

The showdown between both goaltenders would carry through the third period with Samuel Errson and Jordan Binngton putting on a clinic, either offense couldn’t come up with an answer even with Philly and St. Louis going on powerplays they both came up dry. They battled through Overtime and led us into a shootout, the Flyers captain would go first he would be unsuccessful, left winger Jake Neighbours would score first for the Blues, and Morgan Frost came right back for the Flyers and evened up the scoreboard. Pavel Bunchnevich would make a goal right past Samuel Errson.
