The Sixers Cruise Through Detroit

The 76ers head into Detroit to face the Pistons. The Detroit Pistons are now the 21st straight loss. They haven’t won a game since Oct. 28th. Meanwhile, the 76ers are on a 4 game winning streak. The Philadelphia 76ers were so dominant in the paint last night. Especially a guy like Kelly Obure Jr, who came off the bench and made a huge impact by putting up 17 points.

With the Detroit Pistons leaving their lane up, allowed Kelly Obure to drive the ball to the rim. Tyrese Maxey didn’t have that many points in the scoring column; however, He did so well with 9 assists. Finding guys open, whether on the perimeter or in the paint. Tyrese Maxey did have the play of the night. When he attempted to shoot the ball from the 3-point line, he missed it, got his own rebound between 4 defenders, and was able to put up a nice floater. It was just another great team win that allowed the Sixers to cruise through Detroit.

Tobias Harris LEaving an Impact:

Tobias Harris played a significant role in tonight’s game with 21 points, 3-5 from three-point land, and 7 rebounds. He was very aggressive in the paint. He first got on the scoreboard by cutting through defenders trying to guard him. If Tobias Harris wasn’t scoring, he was drawing in the Pistons to fail him. Let’s see if he can continue playing with this momentum on Friday when this time the Pistons come into South Philly.

Another day at the office for Joel Embiid. Forty-one points for the big guy with 11 rebounds. The Piston’s defense couldn’t find a way to defend him. Joel Embiid had a couple of nice dunks. Embiid already put up 30 points in the first half. He dominated the Pistons. I can’t think of any opposing team that can hang with him. The MVP chatter must be buzzing around the NBA this early season. He has gone above and beyond on both ends of the floor. Joel is averaging 30-plus points a game.
