UNION TRIP NEW ENGLAND 2023

Stepping Up

After Daniel Gazdag went down in Tuesday night’s game, luckily, the good news is that Daniel Gazdag has a grade 1 knee sprain. So it could be a possibility that he’s here Tuesday night against Inter Miami. So who would fill Daniel Gazdag’s shoes? We see Jesus Bueno stepping up and providing some insurance production in under ten minutes. Gets a nice pass by Jack McGlynn to Jesus Bueno and makes a goal through two defenders off the refection. Jesus Bueno now with to back to back goals in a game.

Pulling Through the Mud

A lot of this game was not your friendly game of soccer. Both teams were playing with physicality. A lot of yellow cards were getting pulled out of the refs’ pockets. Kal Wagner and Jamie Gomez Valencia had a heated moment. Omar Mendoza has been drawing fouls throughout the course of the game. In the last one, he pulled Joaquin Torres down, and Omar Mendoza would then draw a red card. However, the Union found a way to win as Chris Donovan was giving the goal.

Lionel Messi Up Next

Lionel Messi will be making his first appearance in Philadelphia on Tuesday. This will be the biggest challenge that the Union will face. Lionel Messi has taken the MLS by storm. He’s contributed in every game since he’s been here. It is going to be interesting to see how Jim Curtain will coach against him. What weakens that he can find in his game? This will b Andre Blake is if not one of the best goalies in MLS However, he’s never seen someone of this caliber. Subaru Park will be packed for sure.
