The Week of the Running Backs

Happy week 13, everyone! This is the week of the running backs in fantasy football. A lot of good matchups to fire up your stud running backs. Let us get into it:

Washington Commanders at New York Giants (Sunday 1:00 p.m.)

Run vs. the run here, with Saquon being the best, however, coming off of two subpar games and a divisional match-up on tap. For Washington, I like Brian Robinson. Coming off a few solid games in a row, he could be in for a good day. Gibson can help you as well if you are in a bind.

Tennessee Titans at Philadelphia Eagles (Sunday 1 p.m.)

The most obvious here is Derrick Henry, right? Well, with Jordan Davis back and Linval Joseph clogging up the middle, I can see the Eagles keeping King Henry in check for most of this game. However, I do see him breaking off a long run or 2 with some catches, so not a complete shutdown.

For Philly, I see more of the last game with everyone involved, including Hurts. Look for Sanders to have a decent game on the ground as well.

Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears (Sunday 1 p.m.)

It is true that Rodgers owns da Bears but with him being banged up, look for a big ground game from Aaron Jones and A.J. Dillon.

For Chicago, Justin Fields is due back in this game. In order for them to win this one, Fields needs to do his thing with Montgomery very much involved.

Denver Broncos at Baltimore Ravens (Sunday 1 p.m.)

For Baltimore, the key to success in this one is running the ball. Denver is tough against the pass, so I see more of a Lamar Jackson/Gus Edwards kind of day on the ground with some short passes to Mark Andrews underneath.

For Denver, if you are desperate and need some points, you can take a reach on Latavius Murray.

Los Angeles Chargers at Las Vegas Raiders (Sunday 4:25 p.m.)

For the Chargers, I expect a big day for Austin Ekeler, both on the ground and in the air. The Raiders are ranked 29th against running backs this year.

For the Raiders, going into this season, who would have thought Josh Jacobs would be the best fantasy back in the league? He is going against a 26th-ranked defense against running backs, so expect a really nice day from him in this one.

Best of luck to everyone! Make sure you have the lineup set in this week of the running backs.

I am an avid Philly sports fan. My dad played pro hockey in Europe before coming to the U.S. He got me into the Philadelphia Flyers, and I have loved it ever since. I love all the teams, have played fantasy football for a long time, and own two dynasty teams. You can also catch me on the Sully Squad every Monday night at 6 PM on Edge of Philly Sports.
