Thriller in Morristown

Thriller in Morristown. The Morristown Rally (2-0) staged a last-minute Rally to get the best of the Aberdeen Olympos (0-2) in New Jersey IBLA action in a rare weeknight contest. Aberdeen scored first with tallies from Justin Otto (2g) off a helper from Ryan Cunningham (1a) at the 2.00 mark.

Liam Gray (1g) converted an Otto pass to bury the game’s only man-advantage goal making it 2-0. The Rally would do just that. Christian Watts (2g) Spencer Corkery (1g) and Brett Beetow (1g) closing the first period with a 3-2 Morristown lead. Otto would get things even at 5:32 and Andrew Wasik (1g) gave Aberdeen the lead just :39 later.

Aidan Clark (1a) hit Fred Hartley (1g) with a sweet feed to close the second with a 4-4 score. Cameron Herbert (1g) pushed the lead in the favor of the Rally. Two goals in the final minute, capped off by Christian Watts nailing his second of the night for the game-winner at 19:44. A clean game with each team only being whistled one time. What a thriller in Morristown.
