Thriller in The Dulles Sports Plex.

Thriller in the Dulles Sports Plex. The second of the two Friday evening IBLA Maryland matchups was a classic. The (1-0) Westminster Wild outlasted the (0-1) Golden Bears by a score of 16-15.

This game featured a combined 92 shots on goal with Westminster posting 51.  In a league that can boast about the talent, the current Philadelphia Wings of the NLL are represented by Isaiah Davis-Allen who scored a goal with a trio of assists but the output wasn’t enough to overtake the Wild.

No fewer than twenty players hit the scoresheet in this one. Joe French (4 g,3a) and  Nicholas McEvoy (3g,5a) led the way for the Bears with Brian Beaton adding a pair, Todd Lloyd a three-point game with two goals, Matthew Brigham matched the Lloyd output accompanied by Cole Abid hitting net twice. Mike McDonnell chipped in a goal with Coleman Hopkins nabbing three assists. Westminster had a totally balanced offense led by Brendan McGrath with a hat trick and Hunter Davis and Blake McDermott (3 points) with a pair.

Ben Higgins, Cole Williams Cam Wyers. Spencer Love and Mitchell Howard all added two points with a goal. Johnathan Trein (1g,1a) added the first IBLA poet play goal of the season. Dylan McDermott and the man with the best name in the league, Justin Case,  each added a goal. Parker Hilton made 26 saves for the Wild with Christian Koch with an unworldly 35 in defeat. It truly was a thriller in the Dulles Sports Plex.
