This week’s Throwback Thursday player is Scott Gabrielson

Gabrielsen played for ten seasons for the Philadelphia Wings of the Major Indoor Lacrosse League. The ironman of the M.I.L.L., Gabrielsen on March 21, 1998 became the first player in the history of indoor lacrosse to play in 100 games, including 96 consecutive.

He was a member of five Wings championship teams (1989, 1990, 1994, 1995 and 1998) and finished his career scoring 65 goals and had 65 assists. Known as one of the league’s top defenders, he is second in Wings’ history with 375 career ground balls and was among the top faceoff men over his 10-year career. He also played in the 1990 MILL all-star game and was the Wings captain from 1993 to 1998.

Inducted in the University of Vermont Atheletic Hall of Fame in 1998.
