Tigers Snarl at Owls, 79-65

The Temple Owls (11-11) ventured into FedEx Forum to do battle with the streaking Memphis Tigers (17-5) in a Wednesday match up.

Temple 4-4 on the road had the uphill task of taking on the Tigers who have now won 12 of their 14 home games.

Both squads had balanced scoring with Lester Quinones posting a 21 point night and was aided by Boogie Ellis and his 18 points.

Precious Achiuwa continued to impress and put up 13 for Memphis.

The Owls would see the usual suspects leading the way with Quinton Rose and Nate Pierre-Louis setting the pace with 13 points each.

Alani Moore added 11 to the Temple cause.

Memphis was spot on and went 23 of 50 from the field and 11 for 26 from three-point land.

Conversely, Temple was 22 of 63 on field goals but a not so special 6 of 21 from long range.
