Tyrese Maxey With No Hiccups

The Philadelphia 76ers would go into Orlando to face the Magic without the reigning MVP, Joel Embiid. Tyrese Maxey had a huge game with 23 points, leading this 76ers team in scoring. Plus, he had 6 rebounds, and he dropped three 3-pointers. Maxey had a “hiccups game” on Christmas, where Tyrese Maxey went for 1-8 from the perimeter. He didn’t make his first bucket until the second half. Maybe his worst performance has a pro. However, in this game, Maxey was on fire! He read what the Orlando Magic defense was throwing at him. He knew when to take the rock to the rim or when left wide open and hit the three.

Orlando Magic Young and Dangerous

However, The Orlando Magic head into this game with two back-to-back wins over the Washington Wizards and Indiana Pacers. The Magic kind of took the NBA by storm, wondering where this team came from—the Answer. There’s not a single player on the Magic roster with 6 or more years of experience.

Only two players on this Magic team have 5 years of experience (Moritz Wagner and Wendell Carter Jr). These guys gave the 76ers a battle down to the 4th quarter. Young guns like Franz Wagner with 24 points, Jalen Snuggs with 20 points, and Rookie of the Year Paolo Banchero with 19 points and 9 rebounds. It’s hard to find a bundle of young players that can play in the NBA that are clicking simultaneously. This is why the Orlando Magic are a top 5 team in the East.

No Joel Embiid, No Problem

This is Joel Embiid’s second game in a row not being in the starting lineup, as his healing up from an injury. The good news is Nick Nurse has the 76ers clicking on all cyders right now. It doesn’t matter what rotation he goes with. He’ll figure out who works best on the floor.

Phillies London trip

As mentioned early Tyrese Maxey had a quality game. De’Anthony Melton had a great game with 22 points—Marcus Morris Sr. with 14 points off the bench. Most importantly, when the 76ers needed someone to come up huge, Tobias Harris came up big with 22pts 7rebounds. He has been cooking in these last few games for the 76ers. Hs’ put together a nice stretch of games as of late. He has been the X-factor to this team.
