The Union took on Columbus Crew SC on the road, Sunday night, falling 2-1. The Union remain in first place in the Eastern Conference with 44 points and 2 points-per-game. Artur found the back of the net just before half to give Columbus the advantage. Jamiro Monteiro recorded his third goal of the season from the penalty spot. A late 84’ goal by Krisztián Németh secured all three points for Columbus .
Goalkeeper Joe Bendik made his first start for the Union. The start is his 174th of his career and his first since July 17th, 2019 as the starting keeper for Columbus Crew SC.
