Stefan Stojanovic post-game Union II vs Huntsville

Anytime Union II got within reach of Huntsville’s net, Huntsville would quickly switch to a lockdown zone defense. Philadelphia would pour on the offensive pressure but would not have an answer. The Union II would give Huntsville a dose of their own medicine. In the second half, Union II played tough man-to-man coverage. This would cause turnovers. On the opposite side, any time Huntsville attempted to score, the Union II would clog the field.

Finally, A Crack In the Wall

Despite Union II bringing tons of offensive pressure, they had no answer for Huntsville’s goaltender Ben Martino. Martino was playing really sharp between the pipes for most of the match. It was just a matter of time before Union II would put together an antidote that would work.

It paid off with defender Neil Pierre finding the back of the net. Union II would take the lead, 1-0, towards the end of the first half. In the later end of the second half, Union II would cause a turnover. This turnover was in the Huntsville defensive zone, and Stefan Stojanovic paid dividends for the Union II. This put Philly up 2-0. Huntsville would get on the scoreboard with a garbage time penalty kick from Azaad Liadi. The Union II played well on both sides of the ball in the second half. Union II came in seeking revenge and got the W. Philadlephia won 2-1 over Hurstville. The Union II resides in the last seed for the playoff currently.
