What the Phunk? Philly Phunk drops 12-9 decision to the Morristown Rally (1-0). The defending IBLA Champions the Philadelphia Phunk in New Jersey IBLA action.

Things started well for the Phunk who unveiled a 5-2 lead after the first stanza thanks to Mikey Mauricio (1g,1a), George Downey (3g), Murph Butler (3g) another from Downey and Murphy. The Rally countered with goals from Brett Beeton (1g) on the man up and Kellen Pulera (2g).
The Phunk quick start was negated by a 7-2 second period Rally (no pun intended) by the Rally. Tyler Kopen (1g) pushed it to 6-2 at the 3:13 mark but, Matt Axmann (1g), and a pair from Devon Buckshot (3g) closed it to 6-5. Downey got his hat trick but Austin Haynes (1g), Brine Rice (2g), Pulera, and Buckshot would complete his second-period hat trick to take it to the final stanza with a Morristown lead of 9-7.

Murph Butler attempted to jumpstart a Phunk comeback just :36 into the action but Dean Gillette (2g,1a) hit rope just seven seconds later, then again thirty-three seconds later to make it 11-8. Brine Rice for the Rally and Gordie Herr (1g) for the Phunk closed the book on the 12-9 game.
