Wheeler steals the show, 4-0. Zack Wheeler was outstanding in his 7 innings against division rival, Atlanta Braves. With command of all his pitches and a fastball that was in the ’90s, Wheeler baffled the Braves in a dominating performance.

10 strikeouts and allowing only one hit, Wheeler retired the last 17 batters he faced. He also becomes the first Phillies pitcher to have multiple hits (2) and an RBI in the same game since September 15, 2017, when Ben Lively accomplished the feat.
The 10 k’s is the most Wheeler has achieved since he signed with Philadelphia. His RBI marked the game-winner. Another intriguing issue is the much-maligned bullpen which was a laughing stock last season.
Archie Bradley and Hector Neris each pitched a scoreless inning. So, after two games, the bullpen has shown major improvement.
The series winds down Sunday afternoon. Wheeler steals the show. For more Phillies coverage click here.
