In the late game Saturday night, The Whipsnakes (5-1) took on Chaos (1-5).  While the records were quite different, the teams matched up very well.  This game did not disappoint on any level.

Though it was a close game all night, the Whipsnakes never trailed in this game.  Matt Rambo (3g, 1a), Keagan Khan (2g,1a), Mike Chanenchuk (2g,0a), and Zed Williams (2g,0a) led the way for the ‘Whips.  Chaos put up a spirited fight led by Josh Byrne (3g,1a), Chris Cloutier (2g,1a), and Chase Fraser (3g,2a), but just couldn’t get over the hump, losing 14-12.

Again the teams traded goals to the end of the half.

Connor Kirst blasted a Keagan Khan feed past Blaze Riorden at 9:37, but was answered by Mark Glicini converting a Jarrod Neumann pass at 10:27.

Tyler Wagner increased the ‘Whips lead off a Joey Nardella pass at 10:40, but Chaos again answered when Mac O’Keefe scored off a Chris Cloutier pass at 11:42.

At the half, Whipsnakes 9 Chaos 7.

Third Quarter:

Josh Byrne brought Chaos within one goal converting a Dhane Smith pass to open the third quarter, but Zed Williams blasted a shot in at 2:14 to regain the two goal lead.  Challen Rogers scored his second of the night for Chaos using a swim move at 3:07 to again bring the game within one, but Matt Rambo scored at 8:00 to again make it a two goal affair.

After three quarters, Whipsnakes 11, Chaos 9.

Fourth Quarter:

Mike Chanenchuk increased the ‘Whips lead to three at 2:24, but two goals from Chaos made it a one goal game again.  Chris Cloutier scored at 7:33, followed by Joey Nardella immediately after winning a faceoff.

Keagan Khan scored from in close at 10:06 to make it a three goal game, but was again answered by Chris Cloutier scoring off a Chase Fraser pass at 11:56.  It was too little too late, as the Whipsnakes held on for the victory.
